About this opportunity
As an Assistant Care Manager (Trainee), you will support the delivery of high-quality, relationship-based care for Private clients. Working under the guidance of experienced Care Managers, you will build practical capability across client coordination, care planning, documentation and stakeholder communication.
Reporting to the Business Operations Manager, this developmental role is suited to someone transitioning from a Caregiver, Care Administrator or similar position while working towards a Certificate IV in Ageing Support, or an equivalent qualification. The role is based in Lane Cove West and provides a supported pathway towards progression into a Care Manager role once qualification and competency requirements are met.

Key responsibilities

Build trusted relationships with clients and families through regular communication, follow-up and person-centred support

Assist with coordinating care services for Private clients, including onboarding, service commencement and selected client visits

Support client reviews, goal discussions and simple care plan updates as your capability develops

Maintain accurate and timely client records, document stakeholder interactions and support quality and audit-ready documentation

Monitor caregiver feedback and promptly escalate risks, incidents or concerns to the supervising Care Manager

Collaborate with Care Managers, Care Administrators and the wider office team while actively participating in training, case discussions and coaching

You'll also have:

Previous experience as a Care Administrator, Administrator, or in a similar administration-based role.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

High attention to detail, with sound organisation and independent time management skills

A genuine passion for supporting older people
