Tuckshop Convenor to lead our busy and friendly tuckshop team. This is your chance to bring fresh ideas, great service and delicious meals to life in a thriving school environment.
THE ROLE
As Tuckshop Convenor you’ll be the heart of our food service operations—planning menus, managing stock, leading a team, and ensuring top-notch food safety and customer service. You’ll work closely with the Hospitality Manager and be supported by Café Attendants to deliver high-quality meals and snacks to students and staff.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and manage seasonal menus
- Oversee food prep and service for online orders and internal catering
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety
- Manage inventory, ordering, and daily reconciliation
- Lead and roster staff and volunteers
- Support College events with occasional evening/weekend catering
- Ensure compliance with WHS regulations and College policies
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Proven experience in tuckshop or food service management
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Excellent time management and communication
- A passion for customer service and quality food
- Food Safety Supervisor certificate (essential)
- Current Positive Blue Card or eligible to obtain (essential)
- Experience in a school setting (a bonus!)
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is a hands-on role requiring physical activity, including standing, walking, lifting, and bending. You’ll be part of a supportive and energetic team that values pride in the workplace and community spirit.
POSITION DETAILS
- Type: Fixed Term, Term-time + 2 weeks
- Hours: 6:30am – 2:00pm per day, 5 days per week
- Award: Educational Services General Staff Award
