A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full-time Diploma/Studying ECT or an Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) to join our team as Assistant Director/ 2IC, who wants to make a difference and see their efforts rewarded, who wants to help create a dynamic learning environment and culture within an early education setting. This is a full time opportunity and is on the floor. As the assistant director you will be responsible for ensuring program is set, and delivered by team members, that day runs smoothly and team is well supported. We have an excellent long term team with set rosters and a regular known casual pool. Your role will also be managing planned leave.
You will be responsible for driving activities, new initiatives and design of the service, while directing other staff members across the floor. The ideal candidate has the ability to motivate and inspire a successful team of educators, whilst communicating effectively with parents and creating program plans. You have to be organised and have the ability to discuss and resolve problems and able to embrace technology.
About you:
- Diploma/ECT Qualified or working towards a Bachelor in Education/Teaching (Early Childhood). We can assist Australian residents in applying for their ECT studies if diploma has been obtained.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role within Early Childhood. At a minimum, we are looking for people who have a willingness to learn, are caring, and highly reliable.
- Practical knowledge of National Quality Standards.
- Passionate and committed to high qualify of early childhood and education.
- Excellent communication skills and leadership skills.
- Current First Aid Certificate including Asthma and Anaphylaxis.
- Current Working with Children Check.
