Australian Industrial Plastics has been fabricating bespoke plastic products for industrial clients for over 35 years.
Based in Newcastle, we work across water and wastewater, mining, resources, and heavy industry — building custom tanks, piping systems, water treatment equipment, and more. Our work is hands-on, technically varied, and no two jobs are the same.
We're looking for an experienced Poly Welder or Plastic Fabricator who can step straight into the role. This is primarily a workshop-based position with some onsite installation work at local client sites.
What you'll need
- Proven experience in PE pipe installation for civil and utilities projects
- Hands-on experience with butt, electrofusion, and extrusion welding equipment
- Ability to read/interpret isometric drawings and work to tight tolerances
- Relevant certifications in poly welding and extrusion welding of thermoplastics
- NSW OHS Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Current driver's licence
- Strong understanding of site safety and quality requirements
- Plastic fabrication experience (tanks, vessels, etc.) highly regarded
- Trade qualification in polymer plastics, pipefitting, boilermaking, or a related discipline is advantageous
- NSW WorkCover high risk licences (forklift, EWP, excavator, dogging) are a bonus
Pay: $71,136.00 – $79,500.00 per year
