We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a dynamic and motivated Environment Officer to join our Planning & Infrastructure team at Launceston Airport.
Working alongside our Environment & Sustainability Advisor, you will provide on-site environmental support across airport operations and capital projects, helping to ensure environmental compliance while contributing to sustainability initiatives that support the future growth of the airport.
Key responsibilities:
The role's duties and accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

Conducting environmental monitoring, site inspections and compliance activities across airport operations and projects

Supporting contaminated land, groundwater and surface water management, while providing environmental advice to contractors and stakeholders

Assisting with ESG data management and implementation of sustainability initiatives and environmental strategies
The successful candidate will have:

A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline, with 1–3 years' experience in an environmental, sustainability or compliance-focused role

Mandatory experience in contaminated land investigations, groundwater or surface water management within construction, infrastructure, utilities, consulting or similar environments

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence positive environmental outcomes
