We are currently seeking several experienced Blaster Painters for current and upcoming shutdown, maintenance, and project work across Australia’s largest mine sites.
The Role
In this casual FIFO role, you’ll access consistent work across 90+ client sites, competitive rates, and genuine career development opportunities. As a Blaster Painter with Linkforce, you'll be part of a skilled and safety-focused team delivering abrasive blasting, industrial painting and protective coating solutions across mining, maintenance and project works. Working on fixed plant, structural steel and industrial assets, you will help ensure equipment is maintained and protected to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform abrasive blasting and surface preparation activities
- Apply protective coatings and industrial paint systems to client specifications
- Operate and maintain blasting and painting equipment safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret work scopes, specifications and coating requirements
- Complete pre-starts, JHAs and other site documentation
- Work safely in accordance with site procedures, permit systems and Australian Standards
- Maintain a strong focus on housekeeping, quality and environmental compliance
- Contribute to a positive team culture while delivering high-quality outcomes safely and efficiently
What You’ll Need
- Certificate III in Surface Preparation and Coating Application or a trade certificate within the painting industry OR a minimum of 2 years’ experience in industrial painting
- Valid Working at Heights & Confined Space Entry (within 2 years)
- Construction White Card & valid Australian work rights
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical & drug/alcohol screening
- Site-specific inductions (Rio Tinto, Fortescue, BHP etc.) highly desirable
