ABOUT THE POSITION

TLEA is welcoming applications for full time Max term Engineer Projects to join our team working at our Kwinana plant.
The successful applicant will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and delivering all the technical tasks of their assigned Sustaining capital projects to assure accuracy, proper resources, and quality through the Project Lifecycle as described in Tianqi’s Lithium Kwinana Project Governance Framework. The Project Engineer will be responsible for leading the project through a hybrid Agile approach to deliver the outcome timely. The outcomes achieved from these projects will benefit for maintaining the production reliability of the highest quality and most cost-effective lithium hydroxide in the world.
In addition to possessing our core values of distinction, pragmatism, honesty, tenacity and innovation, this position will suit an individual with prior Projects Engineering experience, ideally within Brownfields environment and operations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrate personal commitment to safety and the well-being of people.
Plan the project, and deliver the project to the plan.
Support “Sustaining Program Manager”, “Manager Project” and “Manager Project Engineering” in coordinating the delivery of brownfield sustaining projects.
Be responsible for leading the project through the hybrid Scrum approach: Sprint Planning, Daily Standup, traditional project delivery and Sprint Retrospective.
Be responsible for coordinating key interfaces between Project’s Engineering team, Project’s Execution team and the Operation & Maintenance teams.
Be responsible for coordinating key interfaces between TLK and the engineering and construction contractor.
Be responsible for ensuring that the Project team successfully handover to the Operations teams.
Be responsible for coordinating procurement of material and services.
Be responsible for oversight of cost and schedule against baseline with support from the Project Controls Engineer and Cost Controller.
Facilitate Sprint Planning, support the Operation teams (“Product Owner”) to prioritise Projects (“Stories”) from the Program list (“Backlog”).
Create a highly committed and collaborative team environment.
Ensures governance of the Owner’s Project delivery process complies with company’s procedures and policies.
Manage relationships and use ‘Best for Project’ decision making to deliver project objectives.
Facilitate Daily Standup to track Sprint/Project progress.
Facilitate Sprint Retrospectives between Project team and key stakeholders in Operations as required to address lessons learnt for next sprint
WHAT YOU CAN BRING
Tertiary degree in engineering and over 5 years project management experience.
Project management experience in the mining, metal, resources or major industrial sector.
Experience in downstream processing / chemical plants.
Hands-on experience in brown field project delivery: study, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, operations readiness and handover.
Knowledge of Australian engineering and construction practices.
Knowledge of Agile project management.
Ability to form relationships at all levels in the organisation and with key stakeholders.
Familiarity with the application of tools and technologies throughout the sprint iteration.
Strong Stakeholder management experience

TLEA proudly acknowledges and the Whadjuk and Gnaala Karla Boodja people of the Noongar Nation, as the traditional custodians of the Kwinana area, where we operate our plant.
Kwinana is 38 km from the Perth central business district, 20 km from City of Fremantle and just 7km from Rockingham.
