ACCIONA Mechanical & Electrical is a specialist division within ACCIONA, delivering end-to-end mechanical and electrical design, construction, installation and commissioning services that support the transition to a low-carbon future.
Project
The Tangkam BESS Project located approximately 30km northwest of Toowoomba, Queensland, refers a new 100MW 2hr (200MWh) BESS facility that will connect to the grid via an existing Powerlink substation.
Once operational, the Tangkam BESS will store surplus daytime energy for use during evening peak demand periods. The facility also supports grid network stability which replaces the inertia traditionally supported by coal and gas power plants.
Position
The Electrical Superintendent is responsible for directing and supervising all electrical activities across construction projects. This role ensures that electrical work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable codes and standards. Key responsibilities include managing and coordinating electrical crews, overseeing installation and commissioning processes, and maintaining quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
The Electrical Superintendent works closely with project managers, engineers, and site leadership to align schedules, resolve technical challenges, and deliver projects on time and within budget. Strong leadership, advanced knowledge of electrical systems, and strategic problem-solving skills are essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities

Required Skills and Competencies

Electrical License (current and valid)

Cert IV in construction supervision desirable

Familiarity with ISO standards and Australian electrical infrastructure regulations

Strong leadership and communication skills, with a collaborative and solutions-focused mindset
