About the Role
As a Plant Operator, you will play a key role across a variety of civil construction projects. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of excavators ranging from 3.5T to 30T, supporting site teams and contributing to the successful delivery of works.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Site Manager, you will:
- Safely and competently operate civil plant and machinery
- Carry out daily checks, basic maintenance, and ensure equipment
- reliability
- Perform a range of onsite civil activities as required
- Follow all safe work instructions, SWMS, and company procedures
- Comply with PPE, WHS, and quality requirements
- Work efficiently around live services and active work zones
- Report incidents, hazards, or equipment damage promptly
- Assist with general labouring and ad‑hoc duties when needed
- Contribute to a positive, productive, and safety‑focused site culture
Skills & Experience Required
- WHS General Construction Induction (White Card)
- Current VOC / Certificate of Competency
- Minimum 2 years’ experience operating civil plant
- Sound knowledge of safe machinery operation and daily maintenance
- Experience working around live services
- Ability to work well within a team environment
- Reliable, punctual, and takes pride in quality workmanship
- Current NSW driver’s licence (or equivalent)
- Successfully complete a pre‑employment vetting process prior to receiving a formal offer
