Sounds N Shapes is looking for a passionate Vocal Teacher to join our growing team in Blacktown.
We teach students from young beginners through to adults in a fun, supportive and modern learning environment. We are looking for someone who can make lessons engaging, build strong relationships with students, and help them develop both their vocal skills and confidence.
If you can also teach another instrument such as piano, guitar, violin or drums, that is a great bonus, but it is not required.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll teach engaging voice lessons that may include:
- Vocal technique and healthy voice development
- Breathing, pitch, tone and rhythm
- Performance skills and stage confidence
- Song interpretation and expression
- Basic musicianship and music theory
- Preparation for performances, showcases and exams (AMEB / HSC) where appropriate
- Individual and small group lessons
- Providing encouraging feedback and tracking student progress
- Communicating professionally with parents and guardians
Most importantly, you’ll help students feel comfortable, confident and excited to learn.
Who We’re Looking For

- Confident in singing and vocal performance
- Passionate about teaching and working with children
- Friendly, encouraging and easy to communicate with
- Reliable, punctual and organised
- Comfortable teaching beginners through to more experienced students
- Able to adapt lessons to different personalities, ages and learning styles
Previous teaching experience is highly regarded, but we also welcome applications from strong vocalists, music students, performers or graduates who are enthusiastic about developing as a teacher.
Relevant music qualifications or vocal training are an advantage.
