About the role
An opportunity has arisen for a Legal Secretary to join us on a full-time basis in our Melbourne office. This role will sit within our Government team which specialises in advising clients in relation to merits review and other aspects of administrative law. The successful applicant will primarily provide support to a Senior Associate and two Associates, but will collaborate as needed with the broader team too. This team prides itself on its positive and supportive culture and provides a genuinely collegiate working environment. Each day will be different, but you can expect some of your regular responsibilities to include:
- Collating briefs for experts and counsel
- Arranging medico-legal appointments
- Monitoring incoming emails from Tribunals/Courts, recording timeframes specified and managing calendars/diaries
- Preparation and filing of documents
- Drafting and amending correspondence
- Opening new matters and archiving completed matters
- Preparing invoices
General administrative duties
