ABOUT YOU
You will understand the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities and strive to optimise their physical, social, and psychological well-being. It is important that you display exceptional interpersonal skills, are naturally caring, adaptable and are able to work independently as well as collaboratively as a member of a multi-disciplinary, allied health team.
Specific duties include:
- Assess, diagnose and provide evidence-based intervention for children and/or adults with speech, language, communication, swallowing, and social communication difficulties.
- Case load provided to you.
- Develop individualised therapy plans that align with client goals, monitor progress, and adjust interventions to achieve the best outcomes.
- Collaborate with families, carers, educators, support coordinators, and multidisciplinary health professionals to deliver holistic, client-centred care.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reports, participate in case conferences, and ensure services are provided in accordance with professional and ethical standards.
- Deliver therapy in the clinic, community, and via telehealth, supporting clients across a variety of settings and life stages.
- Manage your day-to-day client caseload to support positive outcomes
- Provide accurate, timely and high-quality reports and maintain accurate documentation of client progress
It is essential you have:
- An approved degree in Speech Therapy
- Current registration with SPA
- Unrestricted rights to work in Australia
- Passion for supporting individuals to maximise their independence and realise their full potential
- Willingness to learn and be adaptable
- Exceptional communication and time management skills
