Welcome to BePositive Therapy; where meaningful therapy meets a culture that truly supports its practitioners.
As a trusted provider across the NDIS and Aged Care sectors, we deliver personalised therapy and assessment services that make a real difference in people’s lives.
Supporting clients across Victoria, Queensland, and Tasmania, we're growing our behaviour support team in Hobart & Launceston and are looking for Behaviour Support Practitioners at different stages of their careers. Whether you're an experienced practitioner, an established supervisor, or an emerging clinician looking to grow your PBS expertise, we'd love to hear from you.
This role is ideal for a practitioner who values flexibility, high-quality practice, and autonomy while delivering meaningful Positive Behaviour Support.
The Role
We're looking for a Behaviour Support Practitioner or Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our growing team. Depending on your experience and career goals, you'll manage your own NDIS caseload while contributing to high-quality behaviour support services. Senior practitioners may also provide mentoring, clinical guidance, and support to developing team members. You will have access to the guidance, tools, and resources you need to provide clients with the best possible outcomes.
Your week will typically include:
-
Managing your own NDIS caseload and delivering person-centred Positive Behaviour Support.
- Conducting behavioural assessments, including functional behaviour assessments.
- Developing and implementing behaviour support plans.
- Participating in clinical supervision and multidisciplinary case conferences.
- Communicating with clients, families, carers, and support coordinators.
- Flexible work arrangements: in-community visits, office, and work-from-home options.
In this role, you will:
-
Support clients to achieve meaningful, functional outcomes.
- Develop clear behaviour support plans, including restrictive practices where appropriate.
- Complete high-quality documentation and reports to meet NDIS and organisational standards.
- Collaborate with families, carers, and other professionals for holistic client care.
- Engage in ongoing professional development through supervision, training, and reflective practice.
- Providing mentoring, coaching, or clinical guidance to practitioners (for senior level applicants).
What You’ll Bring
-
A relevant tertiary qualification (minimum bachelor’s degree) in Psychology, Social Work, Allied Health, or a related field.
- Experience working as a Behaviour Support Practitioner or within the disability, allied health, community services, mental health, or related sectors. We welcome applications from both experienced practitioners and those earlier in their PBS journey who are committed to professional growth.
- Strong understanding of Positive Behaviour Support and person-centred practice.
- Experience conducting assessments and developing behaviour support plans or demonstrated capability and willingness to develop these skills with support and supervision.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills.
- A compassionate, client-focused approach with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- For senior applicants, experience providing supervision, mentoring, or clinical leadership is highly regarded.
