We are looking for a Trades Assistant to join our on-site team to carry out following duties:
- Material Handling & Logistics: Unloading deliveries, staging materials near the work area, and moving heavy tools or steel/building components into place.
- Site Preparation & Housekeeping: Setting up work areas, setting area barricades/exclusion zones, cleaning tools, and keeping site pathways clear of waste and hazards.
- Trade Support: Holding materials, measuring/marking out, spot-drilling, applying basic fasteners, and operating basic power tools under trade supervision.
- Safety & Equipment Care: Maintaining gear, performing daily visual checks on hand/power tools, and assisting with traffic control or spotting during mechanical lifts.
The successful candidate will be reliable, trustworthy and committed, have an excellent and proven strong work ethic, and possess the ability to work effectively under the instruction of a Site Leading Hand or senior staff member.
Key Requirements:
- White Card
- Proven experience as Trades Assistant
- Hands-on experience working on commercial sites
- High level of communication
- Work on-site and factory when required
- Team player
- Must have valid Australian driver's licence and the means to get to job sites
- The successful applicant may be required to undergo a National Police Check and provide evidence of their right to work in Australia.
