About the Role
Casual Educator Level 2 – Level 4 (depending on qualifications and experience)
We are seeking enthusiastic and dependable casual educators to support our OSHC programs before school, after school and during school holidays. You will help supervise children, facilitate engaging experiences and contribute to a safe, inclusive and welcoming service. Casual shifts will be offered according to operational needs and your availability between the following times:
- Before School Care: 7:00am – 9:30am
- After School Care: 2:30pm – 6:30pm
- Vacation Care: 8:00am – 6:00pm
Key Responsibilities
- Actively supervise children and engage them in a range of planned and child-led experiences.
- Follow supervision, risk-management, incident-response and child-safe procedures to support the safety and wellbeing of every child.
- Recognise and support children’s individual needs and interests
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff
- Assist with the preparation and clean-up of activities and meals
- Follow the service’s policies and the National Quality Framework (NQF)
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A passion for working with children
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work split shifts (morning and/or afternoon)
- The ability to work as part of a team and independently
Essential Criteria
- Working With Children Check (WWCC) for paid work in NSW
- National Child Safety Training (or willingness to obtain)
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience working with children and young people in an education and care environment
- First Aid Certificate HLTAID012
- Child Protection Training CHCPRT025
- Relevant qualifications (or working towards) in Education, Childcare, or similar
