We have multiple ongoing, full time opportunities available within our vibrant and collaborative Hunter Bridges team across Newcastle and Beresfield. The Bridges Hunter Team are accountable for numerous bridge projects across the Hunter Region. Projects include full bridge rebuilds, major steel truss repair, repainting and an array of other bridge maintenance project.
In this role, you'll:
Complete work activities to quality specifications by following established procedures, performing measurements to confirm quality both during and on completion of work including completing relevant reports.
Solve routine problems that arise and collaborate with supervisors and managers to resolve complex problems to minimise risks and achieve work goals.
Understand and maintain knowledge of WHS legislation, policies and procedures, assessing and controlling risks, record management and industry requirements to minimise risk and model safe work behaviour.
Have authority and responsibility for ensuring that the requirements of the project management plan are implemented and that processes are carried out and verified according to project documentation.
Assist supervisors and team members with administrative tasks, including documentation, records management and reporting.
You may be required to work on site with the team but, as PQR, will report directly to the Project Engineer with a functional reporting line to our Safety Environment and Quality Officer.

About you
You are self-driven and passionate about safety and quality assurance with strong attention to detail, dedicated to the success of our final product.
You have experience in records management, systems, or process-driven environments, providing high-quality administrative support to management and ensuring efficient and effective service deliver. You will also possess strong computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite Microsoft Teams, and the use of tablet-based applications.
You have proven experience working independently and collaboratively with others. Key to your success in this role is your ability to think outside the box and positively influence others to achieve positive outcomes.
You have an understanding of work procedures and guidelines and the ability to use your literacy and numeracy skills to accurately complete work records (Bridges maintenance/rehabilitation experience/background is advantageous).
You are able to plan and organise your work in a high-volume area and complete a variety of tasks including checking safety and quality and entering information into systems and undertaking a range of other administrative processes in order to support maintenance objectives.
You may be required to work outside normal working hours and you must be prepared to travel to various work locations away from the base depot.
