EXPERIENCED BOOKKEEPER – PART-TIME OR FULL-TIME
Nice Backyard is seeking an experienced and reliable Bookkeeper to join our team in Somerton, Melbourne. This position can be part-time or full-time, depending on the successful candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Process payroll, superannuation and employee entitlements
- Prepare and lodge Single Touch Payroll (STP)
- Complete bank and credit-card reconciliations
- Prepare customer statements and follow up overdue accounts
- Enter and process supplier invoices and payments
- Maintain accurate financial records
- Assist with BAS preparation and reporting
- Work closely with management and the company accountant
- Prepare regular financial and cash-flow reports
- Handle other general bookkeeping and accounts duties
Requirements:
- Proven experience in bookkeeping and payroll
- Strong knowledge of Xero
- Good understanding of Australian payroll, GST and bookkeeping requirements
- Experience with accounts receivable and payable
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Confident following up overdue customer accounts
- Reliable, trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
