We are currently seeking a senior-level Business Development Manager – Sales and Marketing to join our team at our Eight Mile Plains head office.
Position Summary:
Operating at a senior level, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Lendplus’s sales, marketing, and business development strategies. You will identify new markets, commercial opportunities, and strategic partnerships, while managing major stakeholder relationships and overseeing initiatives designed to grow our residential, commercial, and business finance operations. This role actively contributes to business planning, market positioning, sales forecasting, and performance analysis.
Reporting to the Director, the position will have national responsibility for developing Lendplus’s broker and referral network, coordinating sales and marketing activities across Australia, and overseeing a team of brokers.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
● Develop and implement sales, marketing, and business development strategies aligned with commercial objectives.
● Research market conditions, customer demand, competitor activity, and lending/referral channels to identify new markets and growth opportunities.
● Build and maintain strategic relationships with mortgage brokers, aggregators, finance partners, professional advisers, and corporate clients.
● Manage major client, intermediary, and commercial partner relationships, and negotiate commercial arrangements within delegated authority.
● Advise senior management on product positioning, market strategy, pricing considerations, promotional activities, and business development priorities.
● Prepare and monitor sales targets, broker-acquisition plans, sales forecasts and key performance indicators, and report on broker channel and campaign performance.
● Analyse sales and marketing performance to prepare strategic reports and recommendations for senior management.
● Plan and coordinate marketing campaigns, business proposals, presentations, industry and broker-association events, and broker and partner acquisition initiatives.
● Lead and coordinate the business’s sales, marketing and business development activities involving management, broker and referral networks, commercial partners and external service providers, including setting priorities and monitoring outcomes.
● Work with management and relevant operations, credit and compliance personnel or service providers to ensure that business development and marketing activities are consistent with Lendplus’s policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
Candidate Requirements (Qualifications & Experience):
● Education: A relevant Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Business, Commerce, Marketing, Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent substantial relevant experience).
● Experience: At least five (5) years of senior-level experience in strategic business development, sales, marketing, or commercial management within a complex business-to-business (B2B) service environment. Experience in financial services, lending or mortgage broking will be highly regarded.
● Strategy Implementation: Demonstrated experience developing and implementing sales, marketing, and commercial growth strategies across multiple markets, customer segments, or geographic regions.
● Relationship Management: Proven track record in managing major corporate clients, commercial partners, and intermediary, referral or distribution networks.
● Analytical Skills: Demonstrated experience in market and competitor analysis, commercial pricing, sales forecasting, and performance reporting.
● Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate activities involving internal stakeholders, broker and referral networks, commercial partners and external service providers.
● Core Competencies: Strong commercial judgement, negotiation, stakeholder management and analytical skills.
● Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Pay: $200,000.00 – $220,000.00 per year
