Permanent part-time opportunity for an experienced and adaptive Patient Service Assistant (PSA) to support our busy Post-Anaesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
The Role
Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, and working closely with PACU, theatre and ward staff, the Patient Service Assistant is required to:

Collection and transporting patients to and from the peri-operative area, PACU and wards

Ensuring the recovery and pre-operative area is maintained appropriately and equipment requirements are met

Assisting recovery RNs with patient positioning and necessary equipment needs

Assisting with stock delivery and replenishment as required

Cleaning and waste removal

Carry out other duties under the direction of the team co-ordinator.
This position will suit an enthusiastic individual with strong communication skills and ability to thrive on being a part of a busy recovery department. You will be working alongside a diverse team of doctors, nurses and non-clinical staff.
About You

Certificate III in Health Service Assistance or equivalent is essential

Ability to work effectively within a team environment and independently when required

Be available for a range of shifts across a 7 day rotating roster
Remuneration
A base hourly rate ranging from $28.84 - $31.05 + superannuation, based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
