We are looking for an experienced, reliable and committed Housekeeper/Room Attendant to join our team at our medium-sized motel in Townsville.
This is an opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, has a strong eye for detail and is looking for a long-term position with a great team and excellent working environment.
About the Role
As a Housekeeper/Room Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring guest rooms and common areas are presented to a consistently high standard. You will be expected to work efficiently, independently and take full accountability for the rooms assigned to you.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning and servicing guest rooms to a consistently high standard
- Making beds and changing linen and towels
- Cleaning bathrooms, showers, toilets and other guest facilities
- Dusting, vacuuming, mopping and general room cleaning
- Replenishing guest amenities and supplies
- Cleaning and maintaining public areas as required
- Reporting maintenance issues, damage or missing items promptly
- Ensuring rooms are completed within our strict standard motel cleaning times
- Checking your completed rooms carefully before they are released for check-in
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work area
- Following motel housekeeping procedures and standards
- Working cooperatively with the wider motel team
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has at least 2 years recent housekeeping experience in Australian motels
- Can work independently without needing constant supervision
- Takes genuine accountability and ownership of their assigned rooms
- Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in a job well done
- Has a strong work ethic and works efficiently
- Is reliable, punctual and committed
- Understands the importance of meeting strict cleaning time standards
- Is physically capable of performing the requirements of motel housekeeping
- Has a positive attitude and works well as part of a team
- Is willing to follow established procedures and maintain consistent standards
- Has a genuine interest in establishing a long-term position
