About the role:
The Principal Nutrition Advisor, Population Health Policy and Reform, is responsible for leading and managing high priority nutrition and healthy eating policy design and implementation. This role provides authoritative, strategic and timely advice on public health nutrition policy and regulatory matters, engaging with whole-of-Victorian-government partners, cross-jurisdictional and Commonwealth governments and food and public health nutrition sector partners to support policy, regulatory and legislative design, implementation and reform.
The role will provide technical public health nutrition advice to healthy eating program delivery colleagues across the department to support program team's project and contract management responsibilities and will support briefings to executives, the Secretary and Minister on interjurisdictional public health nutrition matters.

About you:
- Tertiary qualifications in nutrition and dietetics are required
- Additional public health nutrition or public health regulation qualifications are desirable
- Expertise in public health nutrition policy advice and government coordination is desirable.
- Accredited Practising Dietitian status with a minimum of 10 years' experience in public health nutrition is required.
