Our Future Focus is dedicated to providing exceptional support services to families. We are currently seeking a compassionate and motivated Support Worker.
About the Role:
As a confident Disability Support Worker with 2+ years of experience, you will be supporting young participants with their post-school life. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in someone's life by working in a true partnership, helping them to discover themselves, build confidence, and develop alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) skills. You will also play a key role in fostering lifelong friendships and exploring new interests. The position involves working on a close to 24-hour roster, including night, day, and weekend shifts. You will work closely with a team of therapists and their families. Our Future Focus is a small boutique company that supports individuals to set up a service for 1, emphasising a family-governed and directed initiative.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to young participants in various aspects of daily life
- All aspects of personal care
- Assist in building confidence and developing AAC skills
- Facilitate the formation of friendships and relationships
- Explore and engage in new interests and activities
- Work collaboratively with therapists and the family
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance

Roster times:
- Mon-Sun from 06:00am to 09:00pm and occasional sleepovers.
