Your Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Safety Administrator to join our APLNG project team, you will support the engineering team in the successful delivery of project objectives and milestones.
Responsibilities include:
- Support the project team to consider safety requirements throughout project planning and delivery and implement appropriate safety controls
- Participate in the project induction and on-boarding process.
- Communicate safety requirements to subcontractor’s onsite
- Review Subcontractor Safety Interview Questionnaires and verify the capability of the subcontractor to deliver the required work task to agreed safety standards
- Track progress against role & responsibility profiles and report on activities to project leadership team
- Enter and extract data from incident management system
- Prepare and update all required Project Safety Plans and registers
- Provision of SHE (Q) support
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Demonstrated experience in an administrative role, preferably within a project or construction environment
- Sound understanding of project risk management processes, including the implementation and monitoring of controls and corrective actions
- Knowledge of safety inspections, and compliance reporting requirements
- Experience managing document control and compliance processes, with a strong understanding of systems that support SH management.
- Working knowledge of incident management, investigation, and reporting processes involving internal and external stakeholders.
- Recent experience in a Safety Administrator role within the civil construction industry.
- Proven ability to maintain comprehensive health and safety databases, registers and produce accurate reports within required timeframes.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work autonomously, effectively prioritising tasks within a dynamic environment.
- Experience coordinating meetings and preparing, distributing, and maintaining accurate meeting minutes on behalf of Safety Managers.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with all staff.
This role is offered on FIFO arrangement from Brisbane or local hire on an 18 on and 10 off roster.
