Your Carpenters Perth Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Carpenter to join our growing team.
The successful applicant will work across residential and commercial construction projects throughout the Perth metropolitan area and will be responsible for completing high-quality carpentry work safely, efficiently and in accordance with Australian building standards.
This is a full-time position offering ongoing employment with a growing Perth-based carpentry company.
Key Responsibilities
● Perform general carpentry and building works across residential and commercial projects.
● Read and interpret architectural drawings, plans and specifications.
● Set out and measure construction works accurately.
● Construct timber wall frames, roofs, floors and other structural components.
● Install doors, windows, frames, architraves, skirting and other finishing components.
● Carry out renovation, alteration and maintenance works.
● Complete timber framing and structural carpentry works.
● Use hand tools, power tools and construction equipment safely.
● Identify and resolve construction issues on site.
● Work to project schedules and maintain a high standard of workmanship.
● Maintain a clean, organised and safe work area.
● Liaise professionally with supervisors, builders, subcontractors and other trades.
● Follow all workplace health and safety requirements and company procedures.
Skills and Experience
The successful applicant will have:
● Relevant Australian trade qualification or equivalent overseas qualification and experience.
● Demonstrated experience working as a qualified carpenter.
● Strong knowledge of carpentry methods, materials and construction practices.
● Ability to read and interpret building plans and specifications.
● Ability to accurately measure, cut, set out and install building components.
● Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
● Good communication and time-management skills.
● Current driver’s licence.
● White Card.
● Reliable transport and ability to travel to various Perth job sites.
Desirable
● Experience in residential construction and renovations.
● Experience in commercial construction.
● Experience with timber framing.
● Experience with fit-out and finishing carpentry.
● Ability to work from plans with minimal supervision.
● Additional construction tickets or licences.
