Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.
Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the ‘Courts Group'.

CCV
The County Court of Victoria is established pursuant to the County Court Act 1958. It has original and appellate jurisdiction and is the principal trial court in the State of Victoria. The Court hears over 12,000 criminal, common law, and commercial cases each year. The County Court has unlimited monetary jurisdiction in common law and commercial matters. In its criminal jurisdiction, the Court hears all indictable offences except treason, murder, and related offences.
There are a total of 80 Judges of the Court and over 300 staff, including judicial support staff. The County Court regularly conducts circuit sittings at 12 circuit courts situated in major centres throughout regional Victoria.

About the Role
This is a fantastic fixed term role responsible for providing information and procedural advice to court users including self-represented litigants attending at the Registry counter and responding to general enquiries about court processes via telephone and email. You will have a high standard of efficient service delivery for users and thrive in collaborative environments.
Duties include:
- general administrative functions such as filing of documents, listing hearings and processing correspondence
- reviewing, preparing and processing court orders
- performing quasi-judicial functions as required under acts, rules and regulations including swearing of affidavits and certification of documents
- maintaining accurate and complete records of work activities in accordance with legislative requirements
- working with judicial officers and divisional staff to resolve procedural issues ensuring efficiency for users and stakeholders
This is a fixed term opportunity until 30 September 2027
About You
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a legal environment or Victorian Courts or Tribunals.
You will be able to demonstrate:
- a strong commitment to service excellence, ensuring services are delivered with superior quality and with efficiency
- well developed written communication with experience producing a range of complex business correspondence and reports
- proven ability to identify recurring issues and develop recommendations for improvements based on knowledge and expertise
- superior stakeholder management skills with ability to build mutually beneficial partnerships to deliver on outcomes
