POSITION DESCRIPTION
Job Title : Full Time Mixed Crop and Livestock Assistant Manager
Occupation : Mixed Crop and Livestock Farmer

Position Specification
Main Duties
● Assists in planning, organising, directing and evaluating the overall crop and livestock farm activities and productions of 7000-hectare enterprise on the south coast of WA. This is a full-time position of at least 40 hours per week. Responsibilities
● Oversees the preparation and implementation of cropping and livestock programs including machinery operation at seeding and harvest. Machinery includes Rogator self-propelled sprayers, Case 8250 combine harvesters, Fendt tractors, Challenger track tractor, Gessner Ripper, DBS 40 foot seeding bar and bin, all with GPS and autosteer.
● Manages and liaises with the farming staff and labour including spray operation and fertilisation, pest and weed control
● Monitors the livestock’s breeding and health management for profitable production
● Ensures the maintenance and optimal performance of various machinery and equipment. Good welding skills required.
● Implements installation, maintenance, and repair of fences, barn and water systems
● Keeps the farming activities progress recorded and updated in the logbooks
● Implements the work safety standards as per the regulations
● Assists in training and supervising farming staff
● Perform office procedures and administration tasks as necessary
Skills and Experience Required
· At least 5 years farming experience, focus on cropping production. Computer proficiency and experience with GPS and autosteer systems required.
· Proven ability to maintain farm machinery and infrastructure. Must be able to weld.
· Experience leading and motivating personnel
· Ability to implement work programs in agreed timeframes.
· Experience in sheep husbandry beneficial.
· Formal qualifications will be considered but are not essential.
Remuneration
· $80000 per annum plus vehicle and family house accommodation supplied.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
