Leading Hand Electrician – Greater Melbourne

GMS Solutions Group is a growing electrical, communications, security and dry fire contractor servicing commercial, government, education and healthcare clients across Greater Melbourne. Due to continued growth, we're looking for an experienced Leading Hand Electrician to join our team.
This is a site-based role suited to an experienced electrician who can lead a small team, coordinate works on site and deliver high-quality commercial installations.
About the Role
- Lead and supervise electrical works on commercial construction sites
- Coordinate electricians and trades on site
- Commercial electrical installation and fit-off
- Electrical rough-in and fit-off works
- Dry fire rough-in, including smoke detectors, speakers and associated cabling
- Security rough-in, including CCTV, access control, alarm and communications cabling
- Coordinate works with builders, site managers and other trades
- Read and interpret electrical, security and fire drawings
- Identify and resolve issues on site
- Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
- Assist with materials, site coordination and daily progress
- Complete site documentation and reports
- Work across Greater Melbourne
About You
- A Grade Electrical Licence
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- White Card (essential)
- Proven commercial construction experience
- Previous Leading Hand or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong understanding of commercial electrical installations
- Experience with dry fire and/or electronic security rough-in highly regarded
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, security and fire drawings
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Able to coordinate trades and manage site priorities
- Reliable, organised and able to work independently
- Dedicated, hardworking and committed to delivering quality workmanship
- Well presented and professional when dealing with clients and builders
