About the Opportunity
This is an opportunity for an Assistant Café Manager to join the team behind a landmark new Café / Wine Bar within the Powerhouse Parramatta, delivering an experience that is contemporary and quintessentially Western Sydney.
About the Role
You will support the café's day to day running, help lead the team on shift and contribute to a consistently welcoming, efficient and quality guest experience that reflects this iconic venue's identity. The space transforms into a wine bar by night, where you will be at the forefront of the casual dining experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the front of house team during shifts
- Assisting with coffee & wine knowledge
- Supporting service standards training
- Providing wine recommendations to guests
- Helping maintain high service standards across all dayparts
- Supporting daily operations and floor flow
- Ensuring a warm, polished atmosphere and excellent guest interactions
About You
You are an experienced café or all-day venue supervisor or assistant manager who understands the unique demands of high volume, all-day hospitality.
You bring:
- Experience supporting the management of a busy café / bar or similar all day operation
- Passion for creating memorable wine moments in a café and bar setting
- Strong team support and communication skills
- Excellent guest service standards and attention to detail
- The ability to help maintain quality and atmosphere during peak periods
- Organisation, reliability and a proactive approach
