The opportunity in this role is to be responsible for around 140 post offices in a geographic territory and help them drive sales to small businesses in their communities. This is a rare chance to multiply the impact you have, by shaping partnerships, giving advice on sales strategy and unlocking revenue at a scale that isn’t possible through direct sales alone.
In this role, as a Channel Development Manager, you will be an enabler of the success of our local business partners. You will be able to inspire and empower them to grow, build sustainable businesses for themselves and for Australia Post into the future.

What you’ll deliver with us
Within this position you’ll have three overarching objectives to hit your sales targets:
- Direct, lead and mentor Licensed Post Offices and Corporate Outlets to provide effective account management services to their business customers.
- Validate local partner identified opportunities and help support or manage these opportunities and win the business.
- Ensuring direct engagement with the top customers within the Channel Development Managers’ portfolio. To strategically consult on Australia Post’s full suite of solutions for growth businesses.
You will also:
- Lead channel & micro sales events & present at industry events.
- Drive programs that support sales strategies of our parcel products.
- Conduct product training and uplift the sales capability of licenced post offices.
- Conduct joint business reviews with your portfolios top customers.
- Work with field engagement leads who will manage the marketing, coaching and influencing the leaders.
You’ll also need
- The charisma to lead, coach and influence the local business partners.
- Able to break down complex scenarios and be able to communicate complex topics simply.
- An ability to work with ambiguity and be autonomous to lead your local business partners.
