Role: Technical Specialist Advisor – Packaging Technology (Electrical)
Position: Full Time Permanent 38 hrs per week
Salary: $85,000 to $95,000 per annum, plus 12% super

Role:
Driving customer support by performing maintenance service, repair work, training and spare parts / consumables for Haver & Boecker packaging technology machine portfolio.
Job Duties
- Suggest and implement LEAN engineering and design ideas to improve Haver & Boecker technology, department and customer processes
- Full range of technical maintenance service, including the Control Panel and Electrical boards of all Haver & Boecker machine portfolio
- Perform maintenance service, repair work, modernization discussion including the Control Panel and Electrical boards of all Haver & Boecker machine portfolio
- Manage data collection prior to customer visit all relevant customer information (serial number, machine type, specification, past service reports, spare parts needed/suggested)
- Perform service ensuring the operation of the equipment according to design specifications
- Perform equipment training for customer maintenance team / operation team
- Follow-up outstanding issues and work after each service with relevant parties in Haver & Boecker and other suppliers to ensure the resolution is implemented according.
- Continuously review the option of product sales to improve the customer operation and to achieve Haver & Boecker Australia’s sales goals
- Engage as the tactful liaison with customers
- Work in a safe manner by adhering to all Company Health & Safety policies and Legislated Regulations
- And all other duties as required
- Identify and document spare parts required as a result of diagnostic and repair work and pass recommendations to the parts/service coordination team.
- Communicate technical findings to customers, including recommended repairs, replacement components and preventive maintenance needs identified during the service visits.
- Provide input to the service/sales team on recurring component issues observed in the field, to support customer equipment reliability planning.
- Support customer training session with guidance on correct component handling and maintenance to reduce future failures.
Requirements:
The minimum requirement is an AQF Certificate III, including at least two years of on-the-job training, or an AQF Certificate IV, together with at least one year of full-time relevant work experience, which is mandatory. In the absence of a relevant formal qualification, at least three years of full-time relevant work experience is required.
Skills and Persona Attributes:
- Strong electronic and electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience servicing and repairing control panels, electronic boards and machine control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings and equipment specifications.
- Proficiency in using electronic testing and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong preventive and corrective maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
- Sound knowledge of WHS and electrical/electronic safety requirements.
Pay: $85,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
