Fresh Frontier is expanding our production team and currently has three different day-shift positions available.
We’re looking for reliable people who are comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-hygiene food manufacturing environment.
1. COOK – BULK FOOD MANUFACTURING
Day Shift | Approx. 38 Hours Per Week | View to Full-Time
This is a bulk food production role, not restaurant service. You’ll be preparing and cooking large-volume batches of soups, grains, vegetables and other food products to approved recipes and production requirements.
Key duties: Prepare and cook large-volume food batches Follow approved recipes, methods and production quantities Monitor and record cooking and cooling temperatures Follow food-safety, hygiene and stock-rotation requirements Maintain a clean and organised work area Assist with ingredient preparation and general production tasks Work efficiently as part of a production team to meet daily orders
Requirements: Current Food Handling / Food Safety certificate Own reliable transport Must be available Sundays Able to accurately follow recipes, procedures and production instructions Comfortable working in a high-hygiene food-production environment Able to undertake physical work, including lifting and moving ingredients, containers and equipment Previous cook, chef, catering or food-manufacturing experience preferred Bulk cooking or high-volume production experience highly regarded
Hours: Approximately 38 hours per week, typically 7:00am–3:30pm. Fresh Frontier is closed Saturdays.
Pay: Industry Award rate, with a higher rate potentially considered depending on experience.
2. FOOD PRODUCTION WORKER – MIXING & PRODUCTION
Casual Day Shift | Approx. 24–30 Hours Per Week
This role primarily supports our Mixing department, preparing and mixing bulk food products using commercial kitchen and food-manufacturing equipment. Depending on operational requirements and suitability, you may also assist in other production areas.
Key duties: Mix and prepare bulk food products to approved recipes and quantities Operate commercial food-production and kitchen machinery Weigh and handle ingredients accurately Follow production orders and daily requirements Assist with tubbing, packing, kitchen preparation and other production tasks Follow food-safety, hygiene and stock-rotation procedures Maintain a clean and organised work area Work safely and efficiently as part of the production team
Requirements: Current Food Handling / Food Safety certificate Own reliable transport Must be available Sundays Morning/day-shift availability Able to safely lift and handle at least 15kg Comfortable with regular lifting, carrying and physical work Able to accurately follow recipes, instructions and production quantities Comfortable in a high-hygiene food-production environment Flexible and willing to work across different production areas if required Previous food manufacturing, production or commercial-kitchen experience is an advantage, but not essential
Hours: Approximately 24–30 hours per week, generally around 8:00am–3:30pm. Fresh Frontier is closed Saturdays.
Pay: Industry Award rate.
3. FOOD PRODUCTION WORKER / KITCHEN HAND
Casual Day Shift
A hands-on and flexible production role suited to someone comfortable working across different areas of the business, including kitchen preparation, mixing, tubbing, packing and general production duties.
Key duties: Assist with food preparation and production Weigh, portion and handle ingredients and finished products Assist with tubbing, packing and general production Support cooking and mixing teams where required Operate basic food-production equipment following training Follow production instructions and food-safety procedures Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness Assist with stock handling and movement Work across different production areas depending on requirements
Requirements: Current Food Handling / Food Safety certificate Own reliable transport Must be available Sundays Morning/day-shift availability Reliable and willing to work across different production areas Able to follow instructions and work accurately Comfortable working in a high-hygiene food-production environment Comfortable with regular lifting, carrying and other physical work Previous food manufacturing, kitchen, packing or production experience is an advantage, but not essential
Hours: Casual hours depending on production requirements, generally within 7:00am–3:30pm. Fresh Frontier is closed Saturdays. Opportunities for additional hours may become available as production increases.
Pay: Industry Award rate.
Pay: $27.00 – $32.00 per hour
