About the role:
The National Workforce Strategy Lead role will manage and lead workforce research, policy and strategic projects, maintain key stakeholder partnerships, and provide expert advice to RACGP leadership, government and sector partners. Reporting to the National Workforce Planner, you will collaborate across RACGP teams to deliver evidence-based workforce planning and GP training pathways.
As our National Workforce Strategy Lead, you'll also:
- Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of national GP workforce strategies and training initiatives aligned with RACGP priorities and national health needs.
- Manage workforce planning, research and complex strategic projects, using evidence and data analysis to inform policy, workforce reform and continuous improvement.
- Provide expert strategic advice and prepare high-quality briefings, policy submissions and presentations to support advocacy and decision-making.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, government, academic and sector stakeholders to drive collaboration and coordinated workforce planning
Skills & Experience:
- Experience in workforce planning, strategy or health policy
- Strong research, analysis and evidence-based decision-making skills
- Ability to influence and engage senior and external stakeholders
- Knowledge of the Australian healthcare and GP training sector
