Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Welder (First Class) to join our production team to weld, fabricate, assemble and maintain metal, structural and mechanical components for HubX systems.
The role requires experience in MIG, TIG and Stick welding, metal fabrication, mechanical fitting, interpreting technical drawings and working to detailed design specifications. The position also requires a strong commitment to weld quality, accuracy, safety and the high-performance standards required for advanced drone technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Weld, fabricate and assemble high-quality metal components and structural assemblies for the HubX platform using appropriate welding and fabrication techniques.
- Interpret and work from technical drawings, blueprints and welding specifications to accurately fabricate and assemble metal structures and components.
- Operate welding equipment and machinery, including MIG, TIG and Stick welding equipment, safely and efficiently to join, repair and finish metal components.
- Perform fitting and fabrication tasks, including measuring, marking out, aligning, cutting, grinding and joining metal components to required specifications.
- Conduct quality control checks on welded and fabricated components to ensure finished work meets design specifications, dimensional tolerances and quality standards.
- Inspect welds and completed assemblies for defects, accuracy, strength and compliance with required workmanship standards.
- Follow all workshop safety procedures, welding safety requirements and operational guidelines when using welding equipment, hand tools and fabrication machinery.
- Work closely with the production team to complete welding and fabrication tasks in accordance with production schedules and delivery deadlines.
- Assist with the maintenance, setup and troubleshooting of welding equipment, fabrication tools and related workshop machinery.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to identify practical improvements to welding, fabrication and assembly processes.
Qualifications and experience required for the role:
Key Requirements:
- At least three years of experience as a Welder and Fitter, ideally in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
- Proficient in Steel and Aluminium MIG welding and Stainless Steel and Aluminium TIG welding.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Understanding of structural assembly, mechanical fitting, and fabrication techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly with other departments.
- Familiarity with safety standards and procedures in a production environment.
- Forklift and other relevant machinery licenses (preferred).

Pay: $90,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
