Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for the maintenance, fault-finding, repair, and optimisation of electrical and control systems critical to steel processing and heavy industrial operations. You’ll work across large-scale equipment, automation systems, drives, conveyors, and plant machinery, ensuring reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.
This is a hands-on role that demands technical expertise, strong problem-solving capability, and a drive to deliver world-class workmanship in a high performance, safety-conscious environment.
The role is based out of our InfraBuild Reinforcing site at Cavan, South Australia.
Please note that this role is open to NZ or Australian Citizens only.
What you will be doing:
- Trouble-shoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and mechanical faults across heavy industrial plant
- Carry out equipment audits, machine installs and preventative maintenance tasks
- Troubleshoot PLC systems and assist in programming (training provided if required)
- Identify operational improvements through root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with mechanical tasks where required (belt tracking, lubrication, bearings, chains, motors, gearboxes)
- Ensure all work is delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Infrabuild standards
Hours suited to work/life balance – 1:50 pm to 10 pm Monday to Friday plus overtime available and paid at overtime rates.
Pay rate – C8 - $54.00 - $60.00 per hour + 15% afternoon shift loading + 12% super + bonus + overtime, with potential to grow your income as you build experience with us!
