Pharmacy Retail Assistant – Claymore Pharmacy
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, reliable and customer-focused Retail Assistant to join our community pharmacy in Claymore. We are a small team dedicated to providing complete health solutions to our customers.
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–6:00pm
Workload: 10–15 hours per week, with potential for additional hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and professional customer service
- Operating the point-of-sale (POS) and processing cash, EFTPOS and other transactions accurately
- Assist with stock receiving, rotation and displays
- Maintain a clean, organised and well-presented pharmacy
- Assisting customers with general retail and pharmacy enquiries and referring clinical questions to the pharmacist when appropriate
- Preparing customer orders and assisting with prescription collection processes under the direction of the pharmacy team
- Assisting with opening and closing procedures as required
- Support the pharmacy team with day-to-day retail duties
- Maintain customer privacy and confidentiality
- Follow pharmacy procedures and workplace requirements
Selection Criteria
- University student preferred, with availability that can accommodate changing semester timetables
- Minimum 1 year of retail/customer service experience
- A fast learner with a positive attitude towards learning new skills, products, systems and procedures
- Reliable, punctual and well presented
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organisational skills, task prioritisation and attention to detail
- Computer literate and comfortable learning new systems
- Valid Australian driver's licence
- Australian working rights

- Probation & Career Progression:
Successful completion of a 5-month probationary period may lead to progression to a Senior Retail Assistant position with increased responsibilities and higher remuneration.
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $26.50 per hour
