Family Day Care (FDC) Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced and supportive coordinator to guide educators, promote high-quality practice and help ensure safe, compliant and nurturing learning environments for children.
About the role:
Working closely with educators and the service leadership team, you will provide practical guidance, monitor service quality and contribute to continuous improvement.
What you’ll do
- Support, mentor and monitor family day care educators through regular visits, reflective practice and responsive coaching.
- Promote compliance with the National Quality Framework, service policies, and child-safe practices.
- Review educational programs, education and care environments, and records, and provide clear and constructive feedback.
- Build trusted relationships with educators and families, and contribute to quality improvement, onboarding, and professional learning.
What you’ll bring
- Essential: an ACECQA-approved degree or diploma qualification in education and care, with minimum 3 years supervisory and/or teaching role in early childhood setting.
- Required: current ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration, National Child safety Training, ACT child protection training.
- Experience: sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework and contemporary early childhood practice.
- Strengths: confident communication, sound judgement, organised record-keeping, and a respectful coaching approach.
- Practical: a current unrestricted driver licence and capacity to travel to educator residences across the ACT.
Previous experience as an FDC Coordinator is desirable but not essential.
