Our “Why”
For 20 years Recovery Station has existed to empower people to live a quality life. We believe in creating the ideal work environment for you because when you are happy, healthy, well-skilled and fulfilled, you're in the best position to have a positive impact on the wellbeing of everyone around you.
Joining Recovery Station means aligning with a company that believes in empowering you and your future.
About You
It's important to us that we craft roles with the same person-centred approach with which we service clients.
Do any of the following resonate with you?
- You're working as independent contractor and you'd love to rejoin a team environment
- Your current admin load isn't filling you with joy and you'd be happy for someone to take it off your plate
- Having a supervisor available for a second opinion when required would be helpful
- Remaining in control of your work hours and the types of clients you take on is important to you
- You're an experienced OT and would be interested in career progressions and supporting other clinicians
We have options for OT's looking for a Contractor arrangement or a full-time / part-time permanent role.
For aspiring Supervisors, you'll have the support our Clinical Manager who is also an OT and has been with us since 2011, our Head of OT (6+years with us) plus the wider senior OT team and other supervisors companywide.
If you would like to be purely focused on clinical delivery, that is absolutely feasible as well. We have various packages available with differing levels of supervisory and admin support to be chosen from.
Day to Day
We predominantly see our clients in their homes, group homes, aged care facilities or in a public setting eg one morning you may be helping someone trial a new wheelchair, helping someone cook independently or advising on some new assistive technology to make staying at home more comfortable and functional.
You may choose to see 3 or 4 clients one day, then the next you're working from home or having an office day to write reports, prepare resources, have supervision and collab with your team.
A role with us is ideal if you like to have genuine flexibility and control over how you structure your days - meaning your individuality is recognised + you don't miss family time or life after work.
Depending where you are living, we'll tailor your caseload to service clients close to home. Your personalised admin support team will work with you to ensure you aren't zigzagging around inefficiently.
Currently have capacity for someone to service a caseload around Maitland or Lake Macquarie depending where you're living.
You will be supported to confidently:
- Service a predominantly adult, NDIS & DVA caseload (12 yrs old and up)
- Support clients with a range of tasks such as life skills (budgeting, shopping, travel, cooking), pressure care, sensory, cognitive re-training, prescribing equipment and assistive tech, upper limb + fine & gross motor therapy plus home assessments and modifications (initially minor and you can receive more training in complex mods)
- Comprehensive assessment and reporting eg initials, falls, functional capacity, Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) or Activities of Daily Living (ADL) & Individualised Living Option (ILO)
We see people living with lifelong disabilities, neurological conditions (MND, MS, Parkinsons, Stroke), TBI/ABI, Autism/ASD, amputations, hearing or vision impairments and more.

- One on ones will be complemented with monthly inservices with other OT's so you can learn from external presenters, share ideas, resources and stay up to date with any industry updates
- We love facilitating development pathways with clinicians seeking career progression and added responsibility via either supervising students/ grads/ junior staff, increased complexity of caseload or involvement in management procedures depending on what avenue you'd like to explore
- Access additional training content anytime via our online resource library
- Two paid CPD days per annum for permanent staff to be used towards external training of your choice
- Formal and informal opportunities to collaborate with other members of our MDT to broaden your clinical knowledge and provide holistic care to our clients
