Attractive Full Time Salary $118,000 to $121,000 plus Superannuation (salary based on experience)
About the Opportunity
The Learning and Development Coordinator is a critical role responsible for the administration, coordination, implementation, management and evaluation of the entire Centre's training programs. You will be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of scheduled training by appropriately qualified workplace trainers / subject matter experts (SME).
The Learning and Development Coordinator works within the guidelines, policies and mission of GEO Australia and will be responsible to provide support to senior members to develop effective processes, making suggestions for improvements where appropriate, provide support for special projects as assigned and organisational initiatives. To be successful in this role you will need to be able to work in a high-volume environment, have strong prioritisation and time management skills along with excellent computer skills.
Additionally, The GEO Group Australia is a Registered Training Organisation (number 3570) and the Learning and Development coordinator is responsible for the management of the RTO function ensuring compliance with RTO obligations and administration and support to trainees undertaking qualifications within the training package.

Your Key Impact Areas
- Collaborate with Department Managers and assess needs and trends to target required learning and development based on changes, budget requirements and other factors.
- Oversee and administer and where appropriate deliver programs for all GEO employees, Alliance Partners, Contractors and other onsite visitors.
- Arrange for ongoing technical training and personal development opportunities for staff members from a range of disciplines including the provision of additional qualifications, professional development and upskilling.
- Support and coordinate GEO trainers and instructors (Subject Matter Experts) to allow for successful facilitation of training packages.
- Prepare, monitor and maintain an annual calendar and database of scheduled training sessions, including mandatory training, specialised training, external and internal training considering the Centre’s annual leave plan, ensuring that efficiency in the training planning is maximised.
- Coordinate and report on GEO’s Registered Training Organisation (RTO - 3570) activities at the Centre level ensuring compliance with minimum standards and requirements are maintained (Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015).
- In collaboration with relevant subject matter experts, coordinate and regularly review/ update all learning and development resources and maintain a database of manuals, multimedia visual aids and other educational materials.
- Maintain consultation with OHS&R Specialist, employees and unions to enable the health safety and welfare of all persons at work and to support “Return to Work” programs and encourage OHS awareness regarding any training activities.
- Administer GEO’s Student Management System to record all relevant student records and data that relate to Ravenhall.

About You
Essential:
- Strong leadership skills with an ability to influence and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of stakeholders to ensure training compliance requirements are met and maintained.
- High level administrative capability including ability to multitask.
- Exceptional organisation and coordination skills
- Demonstrated experience in a people focused industry and able to demonstrate a high level of professional, interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated agility, team commitment, enthusiasm and a ‘growth mindset’ attitude to training.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and maintaining a robust document management system such as an electronic Learning Management System and/or Student Management System.
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or willingness to achieve within first 12 months.
- Demonstrated strong computer literacy and knowledge of information systems and Microsoft software including Teams, Excel, Power Point and Desktop Publishing.
Desirable:
- Ability to assess and/or deliver training programs via in person and online delivery.
- Experience conducting needs analysis or Gap Assessments to meet desired outcomes
- Experience in developing designing new and existing training materials.
- Vocational and/or higher education qualification to support success in this role.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and coordinating traineeships.
