Forward Facilities Group is seeking an experienced and dependable Mobile Locksmith to join our residential maintenance team.
This field-based position involves scheduled and responsive locksmithing work across residential properties, with opportunities for additional after-hours and emergency call-out work.
Key responsibilities
- Legally authorised lock picking and non-destructive entry to residential dwellings.
- Rekeying compatible locks throughout a dwelling to operate from the same key.
- Rekeying and servicing entrance locks, deadlocks, screen-door locks, patio bolts, padlocks and window locks.
- Cutting and duplicating keys.
- Repairing, replacing and adjusting locks and associated door hardware.
- Attending scheduled appointments and priority maintenance requests.
- Taking clear before-and-after photographs and providing accurate completion notes.
- Communicating professionally with tenants, clients and our scheduling team.
Essential requirements
- Demonstrated residential locksmithing experience.
- Strong lock-picking, non-destructive entry, rekeying and key-cutting skills.
- Current driver’s licence and all licences, qualifications and clearances required to lawfully perform locksmithing and security work.
- Your own reliable work vehicle and professional locksmithing tools.
- Ability to use a mobile phone to receive work, provide updates, take photographs and complete job notes.
- Strong communication, organisation and time-management skills.
- A professional manner and respect for tenant privacy and property security.
A vehicle already fitted with secure storage, a key-cutting machine and the necessary locksmithing equipment will be highly regarded.
Approved vehicle use will be reimbursed or supported through an agreed vehicle allowance.
Reliability and availability
As much of our work is scheduled directly with clients, the successful applicant must be dependable, punctual and responsive to calls and messages.
You will be expected to keep our scheduling team informed of your progress and provide reasonable notice if you are delayed or unable to attend.
Availability for additional after-hours and emergency work, including some evenings, weekends and public holidays, will be highly regarded.
