SA Pathology Regional Services supports laboratories spread throughout regional and outer-metro South Australia. These labs provide pathology testing, in the disciplines of haematology, haemostasis, microbiology, clinical chemistry, blood bank and supporting the Point of Care Testing network. Regional Services must provide timely pathology for the local hospital. As such, laboratory staff must reside within 30 minutes of the laboratory for on-call purposes.

About the role
Join SA Pathology as a Technical Officer and contribute to the delivery of a quality, multidisciplinary pathology service within a regional laboratory. You’ll use your technical knowledge, experience and practical skills to perform a range of laboratory activities, applying established practices and procedures with care and accuracy.
Working both independently and as part of a team, you’ll collaborate with colleagues across SA Pathology and communicate with clients regarding specimens and testing. You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to technical projects, building your skills and applying your knowledge to support effective pathology services and quality outcomes.
About You
We’re looking for a capable Technical Officer who brings laboratory knowledge, initiative and a positive team approach.
- Diploma or Advanced Diploma in an approved recognised qualification
- General laboratory experience and knowledge of laboratory principles
- Strong communication, organisation and problem solving skills
- Able to work independently, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
