Melbourne, VIC | Full-time | $70,000–$75,000 + superannuation
About Cultural Infusion

Through education, cultural programs, digital resources, data and creative experiences, we work with schools, organisations and communities to create meaningful opportunities for people to engage with and learn about cultures from around the world.

Our programs connect schools, early learning centres, community organisations and workplaces with skilled cultural presenters and artists.
About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Team Leader – Education & Experiences to lead the day-to-day performance and continued development of our Education & Experiences division.
This is a varied leadership role combining people management, sales and business development, program operations, client and presenter relationships, systems improvement and commercial growth.
You will be responsible for ensuring enquiries and bookings are effectively managed from first contact through to delivery and follow-up, while driving team performance, revenue growth, client retention and operational efficiency.
This is not purely an administrative role. We are looking for a commercially minded leader who is comfortable taking ownership of outcomes while remaining hands-on and supporting the team with day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Lead the day-to-day activities of the Education & Experiences team, establishing clear priorities and allocating workloads and responsibilities.
- Set, monitor and review individual and team KPIs across sales activity, bookings, conversion, follow-up and operational performance.
- Coach and support team members through regular meetings, check-ins, feedback and professional development.
- Take ownership of sales performance and revenue growth, including identifying opportunities for repeat bookings, re-engagement, new business and market development.
- Monitor the sales pipeline, conversion rates and follow-up activity and support the team with sales conversations, pricing and objection handling.
- Oversee enquiries and bookings from schools, early learning centres, councils, community organisations and corporate clients.
- Maintain strong client relationships and oversee the client journey from initial enquiry through to program delivery and follow-up.
- Support the management, recruitment and development of Cultural Infusion's national network of cultural presenters and performers.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and quality of Cultural Infusion's cultural and educational programs.
- Oversee effective use of Zoho CRM, including data quality, sales pipelines, workflows, reporting and process compliance.
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, operational efficiency and the overall client experience.
- Work collaboratively across sales, marketing and other internal teams to support campaigns, client engagement and growth opportunities.
- Contribute to the strategic development of the division, including new markets, partnerships, products and revenue opportunities.
These responsibilities reflect the major areas of the formal position description without reproducing every individual operational task.
What You'll Bring
Essential:
- Demonstrated experience leading and managing a team, including setting priorities, monitoring performance and developing staff.
- Proven experience in sales, business development or client relationship management, with evidence of achieving revenue, conversion or growth targets.
- Strong operational management skills and the ability to manage multiple workflows, priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Experience using CRM systems and sales pipelines to manage enquiries, opportunities, follow-up and reporting.
- Strong commercial judgement and an understanding of pricing, revenue, profitability, customer retention and growth.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational, problem-solving and process-improvement capabilities.
- Confidence working with performance data and translating insights into action.
- The ability to work both strategically and hands-on in a fast-moving environment.
Highly desirable:
- Experience in education, cultural programs, events, community engagement or a related sector.
- Experience working with schools, early learning centres, councils, community organisations or corporate clients.
- Experience using Zoho CRM or a comparable CRM platform.
- An understanding of culturally respectful program delivery and intercultural education.
Success in the Role
Success in this role means building a high-performing, commercially focused and client-centred Education & Experiences division that delivers outstanding cultural education experiences while developing the systems, relationships and growth opportunities needed for the future.
You will connect people, clients, presenters, systems, sales and strategy, taking genuine ownership of both operational performance and sustainable revenue growth.
