Hours Per Week: 19 : Mon-Fri only 10.30am -7.00pm (shift work)

What you'll be doing
As the Administration Officer in this important frontline role, you will provide comprehensive clerical and administrative support to the Maternity Ward, helping ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the service.
Your daily responsibilities will be to:
Manage patient data entry, appointments, schedules and maternity records.
Provide professional reception, telephone and public enquiry support.
Maintain patient files and support postnatal follow-up planning after discharge.
Assist midwives, nurses, medical and allied health staff with ward administration.
Order and monitor ward stock and supplies and support workflow across maternity services.

Selection Criteria:
Experience in a health-related clerical role.
Demonstrated excellent customer service skills in face-to-face and telephone reception.
Proven ability to prioritise, meet busy schedules, and work autonomously as well as within a team environment.
Proven ability to work in stressful situations maintaining confidentiality, showing adaptability and flexibility with a willingness to learn new tasks supporting a range of services/specialties.
Knowledge of and commitment to quality improvement and workplace safety.
Competent in the use of computer applications.
Qualification: Possession of relevant administrative certificates is highly regarded.
