About the role
Our production team have the meticulous task of ensuring every product is produced with care and quality. As production ramps up for Christmas, we are growing our production team to take on a higher volume of production and assembly tasks. As Production Assistant you will assist with the completion of daily production tasks including jarring, labelling and sealing, and support the day-to-day operation within our production facility at our head office in Collingwood.
Key responsibilities include;
- The filling and packaging of spice jars, pouches, and other containers
- Preparation of raw materials, ingredients, and equipment for production runs
- Manually labelling and sealing products
- Operation of basic production equipment or machinery including hand-fillers, bench-top fillers and labelling machines etc
- Assisting with the setup and cleaning of equipment between product runs
- Completion of daily cleaning, set up and pack down tasks to maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the production area
- Assisting with the daily restock of production materials or materials for special production runs as required
- Working collaboratively with the broader team to meet daily production targets
- Delivering products which are food safe and meet quality standards and specifications.
This position exists within a fast-paced, hands-on factory setting with exposure to various spices and herbs (strong aromas may be present). The use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required and provided daily.
Who we are looking for
- Previous experience in food manufacturing or production is an advantage
- You have a high-level attention to detail, accuracy and efficiency
- Basic proficiency in math and measuring
- Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures
- You adapt well to repetitious task-based work
- A team player with good communication skills
- You are punctual and reliable and motivated to achieve common goals
