What you'll be doing
As a Registered Nurse in NICU, you will provide patient-centred nursing care in accordance with individual care plans, clinical standards and NSW Health policies. You will use your clinical judgement and observation skills to recognise changes in patient condition, respond appropriately and escalate concerns when required.
You will also:
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care to support safe and optimal patient outcomes.
Monitor and recognise changes in clinical condition, responding promptly and escalating concerns to senior nursing and medical staff.
Communicate effectively with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team while maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Contribute to quality improvement, evidence-based practice and a culture of clinical excellence and patient safety.
Support and share knowledge with junior nurses, students and other members of the nursing team while maintaining your own professional development.
