Warrnambool Library is seeking a friendly, flexible, and community-minded individual to join our team as a Casual Customer and Community Services Library Officer.
In this dynamic role, you will:

Deliver high-quality customer service, ensuring every visitor enjoys a positive library experience

Support our community’s learning and literacy by assisting customers with library resources, services, and technology

Contribute to the delivery of engaging programs that promote literacy, lifelong learning, and social connection
-
Perform core library duties, including customer service, lending, membership support, and program facilitation
-
Assist with collection shelving and maintenance to ensure a welcoming and accessible library environment
-
Play an active role in a forward-thinking, innovative library service that builds community capacity and connection
We’re looking for someone who is:

Customer-focused with strong interpersonal and communication skills

Comfortable with technology and passionate about helping others learn

A collaborative team player who can also work independently

Flexible and adaptable in a casual, on-call role

This is a casual position.
The current hourly rate is $43.82 per hour (inclusive of 25% casual loading).
