About Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our cardiac catheterisation lab team at John Flynn Private Hospital. In this critical role, you will provide specialised nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional clinical skills, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, patient-centred nursing care in a fast-paced cardiac environment

Care for patients undergoing interventional cardiology, structural heart, electrophysiology, vascular and interventional radiology procedures

Perform cardiac monitoring and recognise/respond to patient deterioration

Collaborate closely with cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons and multidisciplinary teams

Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in quality improvement initiatives

Support patients and families through recovery and education

You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care delivery in alignment with hospital policies.
About You:
Essential Criteria

Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
-
Minimum 12 months’ experience working in an acute setting (Cardiac preferred)

Current Cath Lab skills and experience highly desirable
-
Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
-
Highly organised with a proven ability to manage emergency situations

Demonstrates strong adaptability in dynamic situations

Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
