Role:
Responsible for providing professional nail care services tailored to individual client needs, while
delivering a high standard of service, care and attention to detail.
Job Duties
- Consult with clients to determine their individual nail care and beauty treatment requirements and recommend suitable nail, hand and foot treatments.
- Assess the condition of clients' natural nails, hands and feet prior to treatment and determine appropriate services and products according to individual client needs.
- Perform professional manicures and pedicures, including nail shaping, filing, buffing, cuticle care and preparation of natural nails.
- Apply nail polish, gel polish and other professional nail coating systems using appropriate
- preparation, application and finishing techniques.
- Apply and maintain artificial nail enhancements, including acrylic, gel, overlays and nail extension systems, according to client requirements.
- Perform nail infills, extensions, removals, repairs and corrective nail treatments to maintain the appearance and condition of natural and artificial nails.
- Design and apply decorative nail art using a range of professional techniques, products and tools according to client preferences.
- Provide specialised hand and foot beauty treatments, including exfoliation, moisturising and other non-medical cosmetic treatments to improve the appearance and condition of the hands, feet and nails.
- Evaluate nail treatment techniques, processes and products and select appropriate products and application methods to achieve safe and high-quality treatment outcomes.
- Advise clients on appropriate nail aftercare, maintenance routines and suitable professional nail and beauty products to maintain treatment results.
- Maintain accurate client treatment records, including services performed, products used, treatment preferences and required follow-up appointments.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and infection control by cleaning, disinfecting and
- sterilising nail tools, equipment and treatment areas in accordance with workplace procedures and applicable health and safety requirements.
Requirements:
AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV. At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification. Minimum 1 years of full-time relevant work experience is a must.
Skills and Persona Attributes:
- Demonstrated experience in manicures, pedicures, artificial nail applications, nail enhancements, nail repairs and nail art.
- Strong knowledge of professional nail products, tools and treatment techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship.
- Good communication and client consultation skills.
- Sound knowledge of salon hygiene and infection-control practices.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
- A professional, reliable and client-focused approach.
Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
