Customer & Communications Support Officer - Position No. 1047
Temporary part-time, 0.4 EFT
Band 5 $77,357.80 to $88,159.24 yearly (pro-rata 30.4hrs per fortnight), plus 12% statutory superannuation
We’re looking for someone to join the Customer and Communications team to support a range of communications, engagement and customer service activities.

What you’ll be doing
This role will work closely with the Customer and Communications team to:
- Assist with preparing content for Council’s website, newsletters, social media and internal communications
- Support community engagement activities and promotional campaigns
- Help maintain website content, digital platforms and communication records
- Assist with customer enquiries and provide accurate information about Council services
- Provide customer service coverage during leave, peak demand and other operational needs
- Support the delivery of team priorities and service improvements.
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for someone who:
- Communicates clearly and can prepare accurate content for different audiences
- Is confident using Microsoft Office, website content management systems and social media platforms
- Has experience in communications, digital media, customer service or community engagement
- Is organised, reliable and able to manage changing priorities
- Has strong attention to detail and handles information with care
- Enjoys working with others and is willing to learn
- Has basic graphic design or content creation skills using Canva, Adobe or similar programs, or is keen to develop them.
- Customer service experience and an understanding of local government would be an advantage but are not essential.
