As the Lead, Applications Support & Maintenance Specialist – Finance, you will provide in-depth support and maintenance across enterprise finance applications, with a strong focus on the University’s finance systems. Reporting to the Manager, Finance Platforms, you will act as a technical subject matter expert across application lifecycle support, incident resolution, releases, upgrades and continuous improvement.
Working closely with Finance, ICT teams and external vendors, you will manage complex application issues, advise on solutions and help ensure platforms remain stable, current and aligned with evolving business requirements.
This role is ideal for an experienced enterprise applications professional who combines strong technical capability with sound judgement, customer focus and the confidence to engage stakeholders from operational teams through to senior leaders.
Provide day-to-day support and maintenance for enterprise finance applications across production and non-production environments .
Investigate and resolve incidents, identify root causes, manage escalations and coordinate major incident activity as required .
Coordinate application patches, upgrades, testing, implementation and release management in line with change management processes .
Act as a technical subject matter expert, providing advice across solution design, integrations, customisation and application lifecycle management .
Partner with Finance, ICT teams and vendors to resolve issues, manage stakeholder expectations and deliver effective service outcomes .
Monitor application performance, integrity and availability, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement .
Contribute to standards, knowledge management and cross-skilling while mentoring team members and supporting new or transitioned applications .
Strong technical experience with PeopleTools Application Designer and associated technologies of Application Engine, SQR , BI Publisher and nVision .
Technical experience with complex integrations using PeopleSoft Integration Broker .
Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials across the core modules including General Ledger , Accounts Payable, P urchasing , Billing, Accounts Receivable and Asset Management.
Integration knowledge with other industry applications such as Workday, SAP Ariba , Xetta and Concur.
Significant experience supporting and maintaining enterprise finance systems and applications in a large, complex environment .
Strong technical capability across finance applications, application servers, web servers and databases, with good SQL knowledge .
Expert knowledge of application lifecycle support, including incident management, upgrades, patches, release management and change management .
Demonstrated experience analysing complex issues, identifying root causes and delivering practical technology solutions .
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively across ICT, business teams, senior leaders and vendors .
Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience .
