We are currently seeking experienced Construction Labourers for an ongoing project based in Newcastle, NSW.
This role is suited to candidates with experience in concrete remediation, concrete repairs, civil construction, or structural repair works who are looking for consistent work with a safety-focused team.
About the Role
As a Construction Labourer, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of concrete repair and restoration works across civil, commercial, and industrial projects.
You will be involved in:
- Inspecting and identifying concrete defects including cracks, spalling, delamination, and corrosion
- Preparing work areas by setting up barricades, signage, and safety controls
- Grinding, cutting, chipping, and removing damaged concrete sections
- Cleaning and preparing concrete surfaces using grinders, pressure washers, and other surface preparation equipment
- Carrying out concrete patching, repairs, and remediation works using approved repair materials
- Performing crack injection, epoxy application, concrete replacement, and structural repair works
- Applying protective coatings, sealers, waterproofing membranes, and corrosion protection systems
- Safely operating hand and power tools including grinders, jackhammers, concrete saws, mixers, and injection pumps
- Following engineer specifications, repair procedures, and manufacturer guidelines
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment while adhering to all WHS requirements
- Assisting supervisors and site teams to ensure project milestones are achieved
About You
We are looking for reliable, safety-conscious individuals with experience in concrete remediation or civil construction. Ideally, you will have:
- Previous experience in concrete remediation, concrete repairs, civil construction, or structural rehabilitation
- Current White Card (essential)
- Experience operating hand and power tools
- Strong understanding of safe work practices and WHS requirements
- Good attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual labour
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Driver's licence and reliable transport (preferred)
